Renewing the skin with the Fractional Laser Resurfacing in Milan

Renewing the skin, gently eliminating its most superficial layer, is essential to even out its texture, eliminate imperfections or small scars and give a rested appearance to the face by erasing even dilated pores.

There is no cream in the world that can penetrate the deepest layers of the skin and thus allow complete tissue regeneration. To replace older skin with young, elastic, uniformly and compact skin, it is essential to use the micro-ablative fractional CO2 laser.

How the skin is renewed

The latest generation smartxide laser allows you to remove the most superficial layers of the skin and at the same time stimulate the regeneration of the deeper layers.
The CO2 laser is a very powerful tool that, in the hands of a plastic surgeon expert in laser resurfacing therapy, can make the skin toned again, eliminating not only spots but also scars and signs of aging that inevitably accumulate year after year.

Fractional CO2 laser

Thanks to a scanner, the laser beam is divided into thousands of dots and therefore allows you to quickly treat the entire face, neck and cleavage. Thanks to the association with radiofrequency, side effects are much reduced compared to the past and the results are better.

Laser and Facelift

Laser resurfacing is the best ally of face lifting or mini-lifting . The combination of these two methods allows the skin to be stretched and the result to prevent the result from lasting only a few years, this is because the laser strengthens the tissues, compacts them and thus prevents them from sagging prematurely.

In some cases, the laser will be applied on the same day of surgery, in others the treatment may precede the facelift to prepare the skin for the surgery.

Laser or Radio Frequency

They are two extremely effective techniques in making the skin look younger and more elastic, one technique does not replace the other but should be used in combination.
Laser resurfacing acts by eliminating the superficial layers but also stimulating the deeper layers of the skin, thus obtaining a real cell turnover.
The radiofrequency releases the energy necessary to compact the skin superficially but also at a depth of 1, 2 or 3 mm.

How laser treatment works

The laser resurfacing session can last from 20 to 30 minutes, before and during the treatment a strong jet of cold air (cryogenic) is used to put the tissues to sleep, if radiofrequency is associated the use of an anesthetic cream can be considered.

The laser therapy expert doctor will choose the mode of emission of the laser beam and above all will adjust the power. In some cases you will opt for a very high power in order to obtain the result in the shortest possible time, in this way, however, the post-treatment effects will be more intense, in other cases the power will be lower as well as the redness of the following days but by doing so the laser treatment will have to be repeated at least 2 or 3 times.

The day after laser resurfacing

The skin will be red and in some cases there will be micro-scabs that will make the skin rough to the touch, a little swelling will occur around the eyes if we have also treated this area.

It will be essential to moisturize the skin and cool it not with ice but with compresses of water or cold chamomile, these procedures will be repeated at least 2-3 times a day for 2-3 days.
Make-up can be applied again 24 hours after the treatment, as it may irritate the skin.
It will be essential to apply adequate sunscreen for months after the resurfacing treatment, to avoid unwanted spots and hyperpigmentation.
